Cowbell Music is owned by the Danish saxophonist and composer Benjamin Koppel.
We are a cultural organization that handles multiple music related affairs. Cowbell Music publishes music, books, concerts & lectures, and also organizes various cultural events incl. two annual festivals ‘Valby Summer Jazz’ and ‘Valby Winter Jazz’.

Cowbell Music is an independent record label. Since 2000 we have released more then 50 albums featuring some of the world’s greatest jazz musicians.

The record company’s musical range is wide, and with a clear focus on innovative collaborations. Dedicated to always presenting music of the highest artistic quality. We have no musical prejudices or boundaries, and release music in the genres of jazz, folk, pop, world music, soul / gospel, classical music – and different cross-over projects.
CONCERTS / BOOKING
We like to take it a step further. In addition to producing and releasing CDs, we also book concerts for our affiliated artists.
VALBY SUMMER JAZZ
Every year Benjamin Koppel & Cowbell Music organizes ‘Valby Winter Jazz’ and ‘Valby Summer Jazz’ in association with Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
These festivals, situated in Valby, attract both great Danish and International names. The programme at Valby Summer Jazz 2011 featured names like: Dave Douglas, David Sanchez, Alex Sipiagin, John Tchicai, Kenny Werner, Marilyn Mazur and Marie Carmen Koppel. Also in 2010, we had the great fortune of being able to present wonderful performances by Al Foster, John Abercrombie, Chris Potter and many more.

WORKSHOPS / MASTER CLASSES
Saxophonist, composer and director of Cowbell Music, Benjamin Koppel conducts workshops and master classes at universities throughout the world. He teaches ensembles, and also offers private lessons to saxophone students. Curriculum being topics on composition and improvisation. Benjamin Koppel has been a guest lecturer in the U.S. and China, as well as in his native Denmark.
